A great opportunity… talking about the Reformation in schools

I have attended the Italian Theological Academy for 12 years, from 2005 to 2016, when I finally concluded my long academic path.

Those years have been crucial for my spiritual growth and for the church I’m serving as elder. Moreover, my ITA certificate contributed to the fulfillment of an ambitious project in our city: the possibility of proposing a 2-hours lesson about the Protestant Reformation in our middle schools.

This project started in 2015 in 4 classes, thanks to the help of some History professors. It continued in 2016, extending to other classes of the same school. Then, thanks to my ITA certificate, I finally had the credentials to formally propose the project in other schools, through official contacts with principals.

In May, one of these principals asked for a meeting and we agreed on a multi-year project, going even beyond 2017. This will enable me to have contact with at least 12 classes… I will talk about the Protestant Reformation and the Gospel at its core to about 20 professors and more than 200 adolescents every year.

I thank God for this opportunity and I’m grateful to ITA and its supporters, who made it all possible through their involvement and their shared vision: the call to preparing faithful men, one at a time.
Michele Patris Galasso, graduated from ITA.
